The summit also called on the United States Administration to enter in good faith into a constructive dialogue with Syria with a view to resolving the questions that stand in the way of improved relations between the two countries.
    ▪ إضافة إلى ما تقدم، اتخذت قمة الرياض عددا من القرارات الهامة بشأن قضايا سياسية عربية أخرى تتعلق بتوفير الدعم العربي لجمهورية القمر المتحدة وبالنزاع حول قضية لوكيربي حيث أكدت القمة على حق الجماهيرية العربية الليبية المشروع في الحصول على تعويضات عما أصابها من أضرار مادية وبشرية بسبب العقوبات التي كانت مفروضة عليها، وكذلك حول التضامن العربي التام مع سوريا ورفض ما يُسمى بقانون ”محاسبة سوريا“ واعتباره تجاوزا لمبادئ القانون الدولي وقرارات الأمم المتحدة وميثاق جامعة الدول العربية، كما دعت القمة الإدارة الأمريكية إلى الدخول بحسن نية في حوار بنَّاء مع سوريا لتسوية المسائل التي تعيق تحسين العلاقات بين البلدين.
